Challenge and solution

Key Challenge
To manage the high complexity of its multiple sections (nuts, oil, supplies, credit union) with an obsolete AS/400 management system, fragmented into custom applications and with batch processes that prevented real-time visibility.
The Aritmos Solution
Implementation of a "verticalized" Sage X3 ERP, with custom developments by Aritmos specific to nut and oil production, unifying all areas of the cooperative into a single platform.
Implemented Functionalities
The solution covers the Purchasing, Sales, Stock, Production Management, Accounting, and Fixed Asset modules, including the integration of the member platform (Socicoop) and the Coselva mobile app.

Founded in 1900, Coselva is a historic cooperative and a cornerstone of agriculture in Tarragona. With a strong focus on hazelnuts (DOP Avellana de Reus) and extra virgin olive oil (DOP Siurana), its business model integrates the reception of its members’ production, industrial processing, and export to five continents. Its commitment to innovation is reflected in projects like its new “Antara” oil mill, awarded for its technology, and its experimental farm for improving hazelnut cultivation.

The strategy focused on a complete technological renewal, replacing the legacy system with a modern and unified platform, designed by and for the agri-food sector, through three pillars:

Pillar 1: Single and Centralized Platform with Sage X3
All information was migrated to a single ERP, eliminating isolated applications. This allowed for the unified management of all areas (supplies, agri-shop, nuts, oil mill) with the same look and feel and work logic.
Pillar 2: Specific Vertical for the Core Business
Aritmos developed custom modules within Sage X3 for nut and oil production. These tools allow for exhaustive control of traceability and costs, considering all the complex variables of the product (sizes, yields, moisture, etc.).
Pillar 3: Digitalization of the Member Relationship
The new platform was integrated with modern tools like the member platform (Socicoop) and the Coselva mobile app, improving communication and facilitating access to information for both the cooperative and its members.
